
The VTC is closed for all University of Michigan home football games and other special University events.
We do not limit guests but there must be at least 1 member on the court while at the VTC.
Lessons can be reserved by talking directly with one of the VTC approved instructors. Only the Tennis Professional can book the lesson by talking with our reservation desk.
All membership cancellations must be done by emailing the VTC at [email protected].
The VTC membership will last for the specific length that you sign up for based upon 3 classifications; Faculty/Staff/Alumni/Retiree, Student, Jr. Wolverine (17 and Under), Adult (No University Affiliation).
The VTC does not offer online reservations. All reservations must be made through the reservation desk by calling or stopping at the desk
Outdoor courts are typically open from April – October. Outdoor courts are free for members to use, but for guests (non-members) there is a $10 guest fee.
The VTC does not issue refunds for memberships. If a refund is requested it is reviewed by the VTC Management and there will be a $25 administrative fee associated with all refunds.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted anywhere on the Varsity Tennis Center property.
Tennis attire is to be worn while on court. Shirts must be worn at all times. Winter clothing and all outdoor footwear will not be permitted on the courts. All such items must be left in the hallway or stored in a locker in the public locker rooms.Players must also bring a separate pair of clean, court-only shoes, different from the shoes you wear outside. Players who do not have appropriate footwear will not be permitted on the courts.
Cursing, yelling, racquet throwing, abuse to court surface, walls, ceiling or scoreboards will not be tolerated.
If you cancel a reservation less than 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full court fee. Failure to do so could result in a revoking of membership.
All members must check in at the front desk before entering either the indoor or outdoor courts. Please scan your membership key tag at the desk.
No food or drink is permitted on the courts except water in plastic containers.
Lessons can only be given by VTC approved instructors. All other lessons are prohibited.
The VTC does not allow the use of personal ball machines at the Facility.
Proper tennis court shoes with non-marking soles are required. Running shoes are not permitted. VTC reserves the right to refuse court usage if a player does not have appropriate court shoes. A change of shoes is required during the winter month.
Members may only reserve one court at a given time. No more than five players are permitted on a court. Courts may only be reserved one week in advance.
If your scheduled court is canceled due to the Varsity team's use, and you are not rebooked for the same day, your next court time will be free of charge.
